Prayer Meeting

The new ease in restrictions now allows us to have approximately 50 persons present. Please remember that you MUST register by calling the office to attend. Prayer Meetings will continue to be shown virtually on Facebook and Zoom for those who can't attend.

Adoration

Adoration takes place on Monday's - Friday's on Facebook from approximately 12 noon to1pm

Teachings Tuesdays

Join us every Tuesday for 'Teaching Tuesday's' on Zoom from 7:30 pm where a variety of topics are explored. This Tuesday will be 'Lectio Divina' led by Br. Winston & Debbie Garcia. This week is the 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time and the Gospel reading is taken from Matthew 25:1-13. Look out for Link information on to be sent via whatsapp/email.

Prayer Chain

During the week from 6pm to 9pm, the different ministry groups take the lead in a continuous flow of prayer and intercession. This is called a "Prayer Chain." The entire Community joins in during the weekend.

o   Mon – Intercessors

o   Tues - Music Ministers

o   Wed – Outreach Department

o   Thurs – Covenanted members

Our Brother's Keeper

Next week POP will again be preparing hampers as part of the wider Archdiocesan effort to bring relief to those in need during this time of Covi-19.  The outreach extends to families in the Eastern Vicariate inclusive of some POP households and the Mausica Lands community. Thanks to all those who came out and supported the packaging and distribution efforts.

Your continued support will be needed again. Look out for the notice on the Community Whatsapp chat.

Miscellaneous

Under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Port-of-Spain, Archbishop Charles Jason Gordon, a 24-hour period of intercession for the Church and the nation has been organized. The overall theme for the day which begins on November 6th at 6:30 a.m. and ends on November 7th at 6:30 a.m. is “Praying Through the Storm”.  

People of Praise is scheduled to lead the 2am -3am time slot on  'The outpouring of God's Holy Spirit on Religious Houses & Ecclesial Communities & Priests" and the scripture will be Acts 10:44-45 & Acts 2:17-18

This year CCR celebrates its 50th Anniversary and will be celebrating this event in various. One of these celebrations will be a Mass on Sunday 8th November at 10am in the Cathedral. Some POP members will be in attendance.

A Motorcade on Sunday 29th November is also planned. Look out for further details.

POP Library

The POP library will be open from Monday 12th October 2020 for members of the community and the catalogue will be available for viewing at the HOP Office. Standard library processes apply.

We are also accepting donations of appropriate christian and Inspirational Books.

Children's Ministry

Children's Ministry remain closed until a date to be determined.

Youth 2 Youth Ministry

Y2Y meetings remain closed until a date to be determined.
