Reverend Father Maurice J. Nutt, C.Ss.R.

Joyful, energetic, Bible-fed and Spirit-led – these are but a few words that describe the Reverend Maurice J. Nutt, C.Ss.R.! Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, his vocation to the priesthood was nurtured in a redemptorist parish where he was ordained on 10th June 1989.

Fr. Maurice is no stranger to Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Trinidad and Tobago. His preaching ministry is always a joyful celebration, enthused with the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.

He has received numerous awards and citations for his leadership and civic efforts. He holds a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Preaching from the Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis; a Master of Theology Degree from Xavier University in New Orleans; A Master of Divinity Degree from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Communication. Additionally, he’s a member of the faculty of the Institute for Black Catholic Studies at Xavier University of Louisiana and has written three books.

This Catholic evangelist life’s purpose is simply to lead souls to Christ the Redeemer! At Sound the Trumpet 15: It’s a New Season, our first virtual Praise and Worship Conference, we are delighted to have Fr. Maurice preach an anointed word, titled “Innovation Nation”.
